Translations have been gathered from many sources. Some are rather literal and don’t make a lot of sense to an English speaker. Many lose the original rhythm or rhyme structure. Others take some liberties in order to aid comprehension, or convey the original poetic style. Very few can be sung to the music – for those, see SINGABLE ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS.
