POGONISSIO – (Poh-goh-NEE-see-oh) from the Pogoni region of Northwest Greece. Also Southwest Albania, where its called Pogonishte.
This one’s slower, with feeling, even if you can’t see the feet very well, you get the spirit, and listen to those ancient harmonies!
Pogonisio is an example of Sta Dio or Two Step – a dance motif common throughout Greece.
