  1. Hi Don, Thanks for your site. No one else discusses the issues you focus on: what’s real? what are we really doing?

    I’ve been wondering lately where Mihai’s dances came from. Some are obviously spectacular stage choreographies (e.g. Floricica Olteneasca). But there are so many others that don’t seem to be a stage choreograph: Sirba din Slatina, Sirba din Belcesti, Alunelul de brau, etc. I don’t picture Mihai choreographing dances. I guess the same question comes up with Yves Moreau’s many dances; Zensko Svadbarsko Horo, Krivo Ihtimansko Horo, etc. These are obviously not village dances and obviously not stage choreographies. (I say “obviously” but what do I know?)

    Any insight on this?
