This all makes more sense to me. Gay Gordons was mostly fading out by 10 years ago, at which time the Flemish women’s trio Laïs came out with ‘t Smidje. It was a street dance sensation and numerous youTube videos came out. Most of the videos show the woman progressing, but somehow the version that was picked for our group here was based an a video (no longer available) that showed Belgian youth doing it with the man progressing. Anyway, it is the most popular couple dance our group still does here. Thanks for the history.
